Bearing raceway noise analysis!

Rolling sound is caused by rolling elements rolling in the raceway when the FAG bearings are rotated, which inspires a smooth and continuous noise. It only attracts attention when its sound pressure level or pitch is extremely large. In fact, the sound energy evoked by the rolling track sound is limited, as in the normal case, the quality of the 6203 bearing raceway sound is 25 ~ 27dB. This kind of noise is the most typical single-row deep groove ball FAG bearing that can bear radial load. It has the following characteristics:

a. Noise and vibration are random;
b. vibration frequency above 1kHz;
c. No matter how the rotational speed changes, the noise main frequency is almost constant and the sound pressure level increases with the increase of the rotational speed;
d. When the radial clearance increases, the sound pressure level increases dramatically;
e.FAG imported bearing housing rigidity increases, the lower the total sound pressure level, even if the speed increases, the total sound pressure level does not increase;
f. The higher the viscosity of the lubricant, the lower the sound pressure level, but for the grease lubrication, the viscosity and shape of the soap fiber can affect the noise value.
     The source of rolling track sound is due to the natural vibration of the ferrule after being loaded. Due to the elastic contact between the ring and the rolling element, a nonlinear vibration system is formed. When the lubrication or machining accuracy is not high, the natural vibration associated with this elastic characteristic is excited, and when it is transmitted to the air, it becomes a noise. It is well-known that even when using the most advanced manufacturing technology to process FAG bearing parts, the working surface will always have varying degrees of minor geometrical errors, which will cause small fluctuations between the raceway and the rolling elements to excite the natural vibration of the vibration system.
     Although the raceway noise of FAG bearings is unavoidable, however, the working surface of the parts can be machined with high precision, and the bearings can be correctly selected and the star bearings can be precisely used to reduce noise and vibration.
